Patriotic scholar Huynh Thuc Khang, former Acting President of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, was a representative patriotic intellectual of Vietnam's modern and con-temporary
historical period. President Ho Chi Minh once praised him: "Throughout his life, Huynh Thuc Khang neither desired positions nor wealth, and disdained getting rich. Throughout his life, he only struggled for the people's freedom and the nation's independence”. Our Party and State posthumously awarded him the Gold Star Order and affirmed: "The active life, noble personality, talents, and virtues of the cultural figure, patriotic scholar, and Acting President Huynh Thuc Khang serve as a shining example for today's and future generations of descendants to study and follow" (State President Truong Tan Sang, 2013).
