Xi Jinping’s ideology on party building and reference values

Abstract

The ideology on Party building constitutes an important part of Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. It was formed on the basis of inheriting Marxist theories on party building, summarizing the practice of full and rigorous Party self-governance since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and meeting the requirements of building a long-term governing Marxist party in the context of national modernization, socialist market economy, digital transformation, and profound changes in the international landscape. The article analyzes the theoretical foundations, core contents, theoretical contributions, and practical significance of this Thought. On that basis, it suggests several reference issues for building the governing Party in Vietnam in the new era, in the spirit of independence, self-reliance, and steadfast adherence to Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh Thought, and the renovation line of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
