Perfecting the institutions of the Party’s leadership and governance

Abstract

Over the past 40 years of national renewal, the Communist Party of Vietnam has drawn numerous valuable lessons, including the imperative to steadfastly uphold the Party’s leadership role and continuously perfect the institutions of the Party’s leadership and governance. These two contents are unified: the leadership and governance role can only be upheld through the continuous refinement of these institutions, conversely, such refinement is only possible by steadfastly maintaining that role. Drawing on Party regulations, State laws, and practical experience in leadership and governance, this article clarifies the concepts, content, and manifestations of the institutions of the Party’s leadership and governance in Vietnam.
