Combining national defense and security with socio-economic development in sea and island areas in the new context

Abstract

National defense, security, and socio-economics are crucial and vital sectors of every nation. Combining national defense and security with socio-economic development is a strategic guideline of the Party and State of Vietnam in national construction and the implementation of national defense from peacetime. The article outlines the viewpoints of the Party and State of Vietnam on combining national defense and security with socio-economic development in sea and island areas; and analyzes the new context, requirements, and several orientations to closely and effectively combine national defense and security with socio-economic development in sea and island areas in the nation's new era of development.
